Description
FKM Fluoroelastomer TPD-FE2460 series are the elastomer made of vinylidene fluoride, tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene by terpolymerization. It contains more than 67% fluorine by weight. Due to the high content of fluorine, it has good mechanical and electrical performance, outstanding resistance to fuels, solvents & lubricating oils, etc., good resistance to high temperature, it can be used at the temperature of 275℃ for a long time and 320℃ for a short time.
Features
- High content of fluorine;
- Excellent resistance to solvent, fuels and lubricating oils;
- Good mechanical and electrical performance;
- Outstanding resistance to high temperature;
- Good resistance to weather, ozone, radiation, flame, etc;

Transported as non-dangerous cargo, kept away from the source of contamination, sun-light, water, etc during transportation.
Should be stored at the clean, cool and dry warehouse.
Shelf life
Shelf life: 12 months.
Notice
1. The fluorine-containing elastomer has a good heat stability under the temperature of 260℃. Trace amounts of decomposition will happen if it is placed at the temperature of 260~320℃ for a long time. The decomposition rate will obviously be increased if it is placed at the temperature obove 320℃. The main decomposition products are toxic hydrogen fluoride and fluorocarbon. If the fluorine-containing elastomer be exposed to the fire, it will also release the toxic hydrogen fluoride and fluorocarbon.
2. The fluorine-containing elastomer cannot be vulcanized with metal powders(such as aluminite powder, magnesium powder) or 10% amine compounds, or it will have some violent reaction during the vlucanization, then the temperature of the rubber will be increased quickly, it will cause the great damage to the equipments and the operators.
